JJ & The Real Jerks drew first blood on a slew of killer singles and they're firing back with this ferocious slab spewing nearly a dozen hedonistic hits of primo Rock 'n Roll. I'm talkin' real deal Rock 'n Roll bred from the Bowery sleaze of the New York Dolls, the syringe-addled sounds of the Heartbreakers and the guitar slingin’ riff assault of the Dead Boys. 'Back To The Bottom' is a hot-blooded celebration of gutter chic decadence and bar room indulgence fired off with red hot, guitar licks and a glamtastic, rolling rhythm section incorporating twinkling, whorehouse pianos and a squealing, skronkin' sax. These west coast reprobates whiff of the same inner city sleaze as fellow riff 'n roll heathens like the Heartbreakers, Humpers, Berlin Brats, Joneses and The Dragons. With an arsenal of big guitar hooks, JJ & The Real Jerks strut with a ballsy twin-guitar attack heaving corrosive jackhammer leads over JJ's bleak cynical tales of living life in the not so glamorous side of Los Angeles. Special guest Greg Kuehn of the Joneses lays down some bad ass keys on the title track and the LP is adorned with fantastic artwork by Jimbo Phillips (front cover) and Darren Merinuk (back cover).
